Research interests

Our group focuses on hydrogen energy equipment, advanced materials and processes, and intelligent manufacturing. We are interested in the intelligent design and manufacturing of high-performance materials, structures, and equipment, and especially their industrial application. Specific research domains include:

(1) Intelligent Design and Application of Hydrogen Energy Equipment

Focusing on water electrolysis for hydrogen production and hydrogen fuel cell devices, we integrate AI algorithms to conduct intelligent design of high-performance configurations, precision forming of core components, and system integration. We develop hydrogen-powered drones and promote their applications in emergency response, cargo transport, inspection, and related fields.

(2) Multi-functional Surface Materials

We focus on multifunctional composite surface materials with properties such as hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity, high corrosion resistance, heat transfer, and stealth. Combining multi-scale material computation and AI algorithms, we design high-performance materials and structures, develop high-quality forming methods, and promote their application in energy, aviation, and other equipment.

(3) Intelligent Manufacturing

Focusing on typical industrial scenarios, we research advanced forming technologies, develop intelligent equipment and systems, and contribute to the advancement of intelligent manufacturing.

Major Achievements

Huang Jihui has been researching in hydrogen energy equipment, advanced materials and processes, and intelligent manufacturing. He is the co-investigator of one National Natural Science Foundation of China General Program, the principal investigator of Jiangxi Provincial Major R&D Project (“Unveiling and Commanding” Initiative), Open Project of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing for Complex Thin-walled Structures, and Open Project of Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Connected Vehicles and Powertrain Systems. He has participated in National Key R&D Program projects including “Manufacturing Technology for Substrate Materials of Long-Life and Low-Cost PEM Fuel Cell Bipolar Plates” and “Development of Simulation Module for Full-Cell Structure and Volt-Ampere Performance Design”, Shanghai Commercial Aircraft Systems Engineering Science and Innovation Center Joint Research Fund Project “Research on High-Power Fuel Cell Technology for Aircraft Energy Systems” and Jiangxi Provincial Academic and Technical Leader Training Project “Research on Key Technologies of Metal Ultra-Thin Bipolar Plates for High-Power Hydrogen Fuel Cells in Multi-Source Energy Equipment”. He has also contributed to the preparation of Jiangxi Provincial “15th Five-Year” Equipment Manufacturing Technology Innovation Plan and “15th Five-Year” High-Quality Development Plan for Equipment Manufacturing. He has published over 20 high-level papers in internationally renowned journals such as International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Manufacturing Processes, and Journal of Materials Processing Technology in the past five years, and been authorized more than 10 invention patents.
