Research Directions

The team's research focuses on performance analysis and optimization of new energy power generation systems, research on novel thermal cycle power generation systems, and energy conservation and carbon reduction in thermal systems of power plants

1 Performance analysis and optimization of new energy power generation systems, focusing on researching integration schemes and system performance optimization for thermal power generation systems utilizing new energy sources (including solar energy, geothermal energy, nuclear energy, etc.), aiming to achieve overall technical and economic optimization of the power generation system

2 Research on new thermal cycle power generation systems, focusing on the application and performance optimization of novel thermal cycles such as the supercritical carbon dioxide Brayton cycle, organic Rankine cycle, Kalina cycle, and organic flash cycle, as well as their combined cycles in thermal power generation

3 The thermal system of power plants aims to achieve energy conservation and carbon reduction. This is achieved by optimizing the combustion operation of coal-fired boilers in conventional thermal power plants, optimizing the operation of the thermal system, and coupling new energy sources (such as solar energy) with conventional coal-fired power generation, thereby enhancing the power generation efficiency of the plant.
