Research Directions

The team focuses on research in Mechanism and Machine Science and the design and development of intelligent equipment. Specific topics include:

1. Topological structure analysis and synthesis theory of robotic mechanisms;

2. Development of software for automated analysis and synthesis of robotic mechanisms;

3. Design and development of exoskeleton robots, soft robots, welding robots, medical devices, and smart agricultural machinery/equipment.

Teaching

Long-term instructor for undergraduate courses including Engineering Graphics, Theory of Machines and Mechanisms, Fundamentals of Mechanical Design, and Mechanical Innovation Design. Received 11 awards (or nominations) for excellent teaching quality at Nanchang University.

Lead instructor for four provincial-level high-quality/first-class courses.

Co-authored three undergraduate textbooks.

Led or participated in four teaching reform projects, including Ministry of Education industry–university collaborative education programs and Jiangxi provincial teaching reform projects.

Won Second Prize in a provincial-level teaching achievement award.

Supervised undergraduate students to win 80+ national-level awards in various academic competitions.

Research

Research focuses on topology structural design of robot mechanisms and intelligent equipment design and development.

Led or participated in six projects including National Key R&D Program projects and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects; also participated in one Jiangxi provincial industrial research project and led two youth research projects from the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education.

Published 100+ academic papers.

Granted 30+ Chinese invention patents.

Awarded Second Prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award.
