Research Directions

The team's research focuses on cross-disciplinary innovation and application of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, aiming to address perception, decision-making, and interaction challenges in complex dynamic environments. Specific areas include:

1. Driving scenario analysis based on multimodal data fusion, utilizing deep learning and sensor fusion technologies to achieve real-time perception, risk assessment, and behavior prediction in autonomous driving environments.

2. Intelligent traffic inspection and autonomous decision-making based on UAVs, integrating UAV platforms and AI technologies to build an air-ground-space integrated intelligent inspection system, and employing deep reinforcement learning for autonomous path planning and collaborative control of UAVs in dynamic environments.

3. Human-computer interaction and brain-computer interfaces for healthcare, leveraging natural language processing, affective computing, and robotics to develop intelligent interactive care systems, and implementing high-precision EEG signal decoding and brain-computer interface control based on deep learning.

Major Achievements

I focus my research on artificial intelligence, computer vision, intelligent perception for autonomous driving systems, and brain-computer interfaces, with particularly notable accomplishments in driver state monitoring and EEG signal decoding. Over the past five years, I have published over 30 SCI-indexed papers, including 13 in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Tier 1 Top Journals and 9 in CAS Tier 2 Journals. Among these, 12 were published as first author or corresponding author, with 6 appearing in CAS Tier 1 Top Journals and 3 in CAS Tier 2 Journals. According to Google Scholar, my work has been cited over 1,000 times, including 5 papers cited more than 50 times each, among which 2 have been cited over 100 times. One of these publications is recognized as a Highly Cited Paper and Hot Paper on the Web of Science. To date, I have filed 15 invention patent applications, with 11 already granted. I have also participated in two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and two international collaborative projects. Among my awards are the National Scholarship, the President's Scholarship, the University Special Award Scholarship, and the University First-Class Scholarship. In September 2021, I won the second prize in the national finals of the World Robot Contest – BCI Brain-Controlled Robot Competition. At the end of 2021, I was honored as an "Outstanding Student of Guangdong Province."
