Research Focus

Our research area encompasses atomic-scale manufacturing, as well as theoretical and applied studies of surface/interface micro‑/nanotribology. Current research directions include atomic‑scale polishing, friction/self‑lubricating materials, and food oral tribology.

Our group is equipped with a modern laboratory and advanced research facilities. We foster a positive supervisor‑student relationship and a collaborative team atmosphere. Students with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, materials science, instrumentation, physics, chemistry, or related disciplines are warmly welcomed to apply.

Professional Profile

Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. Earned Ph.D. from the National Key Laboratory of High-end Equipment Interface Science and Technology (formerly the State Key Laboratory of Tribology) at Tsinghua University. Gained five years of technical R&D experience at the CNOOC Research Institute. Completed one year as a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, USA, under the sponsorship of the China Scholarship Council. Currently serves as a Distinguished Honorary Professor of Ganjiang at Nanchang University and leads a key disciplinary direction.

Recipient of the inaugural Jiangxi Provincial "Double Thousand Plan" award as an Innovation Leading Talent (Youth). Holds memberships in the Erosion and Protection Technology Committee of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection, and the Youth Committee of the Tribology Division of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. Recognized as a Distinguished Honorary Expert of Hongcheng. Serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for Friction and the Journal of Mechanical Strength.

Has led three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and five provincial/ministerial-level projects. First authored or corresponding-authored over 60 SCI-indexed papers, including more than 30 in Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1 or top-tier journals. Holds over 20 authorized patents. Contributed to the development of two national standards and two industry standards. Received one provincial/ministerial-level award.

Has supervised more than 20 graduate students to graduation, with each student publishing on average over two SCI papers. Approximately 80% of students have received honors such as National Scholarships, Provincial Government Scholarships, BYD Scholarships, Provincial Outstanding Thesis Awards, and Nanchang University Outstanding Thesis/Graduate Awards.

Has successfully recommended undergraduates for postgraduate studies at Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University. Received Nanchang University's Teaching Quality Excellence Award or nomination for three consecutive years. Led a completed provincial-level teaching reform project. Published two teaching reform papers in Chinese core journals. Served as chief editor or deputy editor for two monographs/textbooks. Guided undergraduates to win over 10 national-level discipline competition awards. Received awards for Popular Online Open Course and "Popular Course" on the Zhihuishu platform.
