Introduction to the Advanced Manufacturing College Large Instrument Open-Shared Platform

time:2026-01-24

The Advanced Manufacturing College Large Instrument Open-Shared Platform began its construction in April 2023. In line with the college's overall concept of 'modularization of teaching platforms, functionalization of research platforms, and team-based talent development' (the 'three modernizations'), as well as the school's management requirements for the open sharing of large instruments and equipment, the platform has been piloted and promoted. Currently, the platform has basically completed its construction and is now providing paid open-shared services to the outside.

The physical platform of the college's large instrument open sharing consists of 5 laboratories: E219, E220, E327A, E327B, and D118, with a total area of 217 square meters. It centrally manages 34 pieces of equipment valued at 1.3985 million yuan. In addition, the platform also manages another 70 pieces of equipment listed on the school's Large Instrument Reservation and Sharing Management Platform, valued at 7.4705 million yuan. Among the total of 104 pieces of equipment, 16 are valued over 1 million yuan. These include a batch of cutting-edge instruments such as five-axis vertical machining centers, mineral material micro-nano structure generation devices, two-photon polymerization high-resolution 3D printers, 3D printing and laser remanufacturing platform sets, high-power continuous wave lasers, five-axis machining centers, intelligent milling machining manufacturing islands, laser processing equipment, super-resolution confocal interferometric microscopy platforms, digital scanning systems, scanning electron microscopes, high-precision optical surface measurement and analysis systems, high-precision free-form surface measurement and analysis systems, high-precision laser interferometric measurement and analysis systems (measurement systems), atomic force microscopes, multi-functional friction and wear testing machines, intelligent detection workstations, nanoindentation mechanical testing systems, and intelligent algorithm and numerical simulation high-performance server/workstation cluster computing platforms. The main categories are processing and forming equipment and testing, measurement, and analysis equipment, serving research fields involving machinery and electronics, materials, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, medicine, computer science and technology/Artificial Intelligence, and other disciplines.

At present, the management team of the college's large instrument open shared platform consists of 8 people, including 3 with associate senior titles, 5 with intermediate titles, 3 with doctoral degrees, and 5 with master's degrees. Adhering to the working of 'strengthening construction, standardizing management, and improving quality', and guided by the principle of 'service first', the team serves teachers' scientific research and teaching, while also opening to society to repay the school and society with high-quality service. The management team specifically takes charge of the daily operation and management of the physical platform of large instrument open sharing and other equipment listed on the school's reservation platform. Their main responsibilities include:

1. Responsible for the online listing and maintenance of open-shared instrument equipment information, and formulating service procedures for schools and outside;

2. Responsible for the approval and signing of testing service contracts;

3. Responsible for the settlement of testing fees and financial reimbursement, and statistics on income from open-shared services;

4. Responsible for the statistics of instrument operating hours and benefit assessment;

5. Supervising that the operating hours and income of large instruments meet the school's specified requirements;

6. Supervising and guiding large instrument teams to sign open-shared responsibility letters;

7. Assisting large instrument teams in handling equipment maintenance-related matters.
