News!Dr. Hongming Ding’s Series of Numerical Studies on Aluminum Particle Combustion Mechanism Published in Renowned International Journals.docx

Dr. Hongming Ding from the School of Advanced Manufacturing has carried out a series of in-depth numerical simulation investigations focusing on the combustion mechanism of aluminum particles. Two high-quality research papers detailing these innovative findings have been officially accepted and published in top-tier international academic journals.

In November 2025, the paper entitled Multistage combustion and reaction coupling of micro-sized aluminum particles in hot steam was published in Applications in Energy and Combustion Science.

Subsequently, in February 2026, another research work Numerical study on the flow and combustion characteristics of hydrogen/aluminum two-phase fuel in a cavity combustor appeared in International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, a leading journal in the energy field.

These achievements systematically reveal the complex combustion and reaction characteristics of aluminum particles, providing important theoretical support and numerical reference for the engineering application of aluminum-based composite fuels in advanced energy and power systems.
