Jiangxi Provincial University Engineering Technology Research Center for Modern Mechanical Design

Center Introduction

Established in 2006, the Jiangxi Provincial University Engineering Technology Research Center for Modern Mechanical Design is an important department-level scientific research platform approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. Based in Jiangxi and serving the whole country, the research center mainly meets the needs of the country and the industry, conducts applied basic research and technological development focusing on the field of modern electromechanical equipment design-manufacturing-performance evaluation, and provides key technical support for industrial enterprises inside and outside the province.

Talent Team

The research center has a high-level scientific research team consisting of more than 60 full-time teachers, doctors and postgraduates, including 6 professors and 5 associate professors, all of whom have doctoral degrees; 6 person-times have been selected into provincial and ministerial-level or above talent programs.

Scientific Research and Platform Construction

The center is equipped with advanced scientific research facilities, covering a total laboratory area of 600 square meters. It has established a Structural Fatigue Analysis Laboratory, a Friction and Wear Laboratory, and a High-Performance Numerical Computing Laboratory, with complete capabilities in electromechanical product design-manufacturing-performance evaluation. Since its establishment, the research center has provided effective technical support for many enterprises inside and outside the province, such as Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd., Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai, Jiangxi Huawu Brake Co., Ltd., Nanchang Hitachi Appliances Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Zhengyu Technology Co., Ltd.

In the past five years: The research center has undertaken nearly 30 vertical projects, including national key R&D sub-projects, general/young projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key R&D projects in Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, and many other provincial-level major talent support programs, as well as 10 major horizontal projects with a value of more than 1 million yuan; it has won 3 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards; published more than 100 papers included in SCI/EI, and obtained more than 50 authorized invention patents.
