Introduction

Established in 2007, the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Automotive Electronics is a key provincial-level scientific research platform approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Relying on the disciplinary advantages of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Nanchang University, the center is based in Jiangxi and serves the whole country, committed to innovative research and engineering application in the field of automotive electronics technology. It is an important technical support platform for the development of Jiangxi's automotive industry and a crucial base for automotive electronics technology research and talent training in central China.

Research Directions

Closely aligning with the national strategies of "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality" and "Transportation Power", as well as the development plan of Jiangxi's 1269 industrial chain, the research center focuses on the following research directions:

  • Autonomous driving algorithms and scenario simulation technology

  • Vehicle-mounted sensors and intelligent perception technology

  • Drive-by-wire chassis and integrated control technology

  • Intelligent cockpit and human-machine interaction technology

  • Vehicle thermal management and energy consumption optimization technology

  • Vehicle-mounted computing platform and safety testing technology

The research center continuously enhances its independent innovation capability, strengthens the in-depth integration of industry, university and research, provides strong technical support and talent guarantee for the development of the automotive electronics industry in Jiangxi and even the whole country, and strives to build itself into a first-class domestic and internationally influential automotive electronics technology innovation base.

Talent Team

The research center has a high-level scientific research team of more than 30 members, including 5 professors/senior engineers, 14 associate professors/senior engineers, 19 researchers with doctoral degrees, 5 recipients of provincial and ministerial-level talent programs, and 8 part-time technical experts from enterprises.

Core members of the team have rich scientific research and engineering experience in the field of automotive electronics. Many of them hold academic positions in the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, Jiangxi Society of Automotive Engineers, Jiangxi Automotive Industry Association, etc., and have established extensive cooperative relations with well-known universities and enterprises at home and abroad.

Scientific Research and Platform Construction

The center is equipped with advanced scientific research facilities, covering a total laboratory area of 2,850 square meters, with the original value of scientific instruments and equipment exceeding 10 million yuan. The main equipment includes: Automotive Electronics EMC Testing Platform, New Energy Vehicle Three-Electric System Testing Platform, Intelligent Connected Vehicle Simulation Testing Platform, Battery BMS Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing System, Automotive Powertrain System Testing and R&D Platform, Automotive Electronic Software Development and Verification Platform, and Automotive R&D Assembly and Processing Testing Workshop.

Relying on the scientific research conditions of the research center, it has successively established R&D bases such as Jiangxi New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Alliance, Nanchang Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle Industry Innovation Alliance, and Nanchang Key Laboratory of Electric Vehicle Electronic Control Technology, with complete capabilities in R&D, testing and verification of automotive electronic products. Since its establishment, the center has achieved a series of important scientific research results: undertaking 15 national-level scientific research projects, 32 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and more than 50 horizontal projects with enterprises; winning 7 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards; obtaining more than 50 authorized invention patents and 78 utility model patents; publishing more than 300 papers included in SCI/EI; transforming more than 10 achievements, creating economic benefits exceeding 1 billion yuan.
